Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race at Sunlight Mtn. Resort Date: 12/6/2009 Time: 10:00 AM Event Description: Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race is Dec. 6 at Sunlight The 18th annual Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6, at Sunlight Mountain Resort. The 8K race winds through Babbish Gulch on Sunlight’s cross country trails. The race begins at 10 a.m., with awards and a prize drawing afterwards. Pre-registration can be done at Summit Canyon Mountaineering for $20 and $22 day-of race registration can be done at Sunlight’s day lodge, beginning at 9 a.m. Registration includes a T-shirt and a goodies bag. The cut-off date for pre-registration is Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. Some snowshoes will be available for the race, which benefits the animal shelters of Garfield County (C.A.R.E., Valley Animal Rescue and Rifle Animal Shelter).
